Laptops 4 Learning, a Phoenix-based nonprofit dedicated to providing laptop computers to economically disadvantaged students and military veterans, recently visited Fountain Hills. Over the past two weeks, the organization distributed 53 laptops during events at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, McDowell Mountain Elementary School, and Fountain Hills Middle School. These laptops will enable students to complete homework, write papers, and tackle other academic tasks. The costs of the devices were significantly reduced thanks to generous grants from Desert Financial Credit Union and other community-focused organizations. With the holidays approaching, the timing of this initiative was ideal!
